If you regularly look at the internet forums and social sites you’ll see people discussing reverse cell phone lookups. These services allow people to use a cell phone number and use it to search databases to discover things about the person who owns the phone. This can certainly be useful and is similar to the lookups offered by residential phone companies for free. But the problem is the residential phone companies allow the numbers to be searched, and people can remove their details from the databases. The cell databases arent provided by the cell companies, and so there is a question of data security and even legality.
