Window seats are fantastic to use as a storage solution.
With storage in mind there are two kinds of window seats - lift up and pull out. If you have small kids and they will be using the window seat, pull out drawers would make a better choice. The lift up lid has a risk of falling and hurting your kids so if you want to use one of these, make sure that you have a mechanism that stops the lid falling.
